This Fall 2025 season is the perfect time to unleash your inner fashionista! And I mean it: whether you’re a minimalist, a maximalist, or somewhere in between, this season has something for you. This fall brings a wave of prep-inspired looks, combined with the excitement of reviving classic pieces that never go out of style.
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you already know that we love talking about trends from a different perspective; not in the “buy, buy, buy” sense, but in the sense of understanding them. I love exploring why they arrive, why they fade, why some remain, and how we can integrate them into our personal style in a thoughtful and conscious way.
I believe fashion goes far beyond the idea of ”pretty trends” and consumerism. Trends are actually an opportunity to look around us, analyze what’s happening culturally, and then filter what truly fits into our wardrobe (and our identity) and what doesn’t.
While researching this post, I noticed something super interesting: searches for “secondhand” and “classy heritage fashion” are skyrocketing, especially among Gen Z users. This tells me something: younger generations are craving a change. They’re looking for fashion that feels authentic, distinctive, high-quality, and accessible. That’s why many of this season’s biggest trends lean toward retro and vintage styles, but always with a fresh, modern twist that I honestly find irresistible.
But before diving into Autumn 2025 trends, it’s important to briefly review the Style Essences; their characteristics and what makes each of them unique. This way, when we start linking trends, you’ll instantly see which ones align with your vibe.

The 7 style essences are:
- Dramatic: Sharp, bold, and high-impact. Dramatic lines are straight, angular, and commanding, with a vibe that feels powerful, modern, and daring.
- Natural: Relaxed, free, and unpolished in the best way. Natural lines are broad, easy, and flowing, with an earthy, effortless, and approachable vibe.
- Gamine: Playful and quirky. Gamine lines are sharp but compact, with contrast and bold details that give off a fun, youthful, and mischievous vibe.
- Classic: Balanced, clean, and timeless. Classic lines are symmetrical, moderate, and refined, with a vibe that feels polished, elegant, and harmonious.
- Romantic: Soft, curvy, and alluring. Romantic lines flow with roundness and drape, always carrying a feminine, sensual, and graceful vibe.
- Ingenue: Delicate, youthful, and sweet. Ingenue lines are detailed and soft, with a vibe that feels innocent, fresh, and approachable.
- Angelic: Ethereal, otherworldly, and graceful. Angelic lines are elongated, flowing, and slightly mystical, with a vibe that feels dreamy and soft.

So, let’s start with the Dramatic Essence…
If there’s an essence that feels made for this season, it’s definitely the Dramatic. Your style thrives on bold lines, high contrast, and outfits that command attention, so many of this year’s fall trends are basically your playground. The best part is that even though these looks come straight from the runway, they’ll feel timeless on you, becoming true wardrobe staples rather than “just trends.”
So let’s see which fall trends you can perfectly translate into your Dramatic essence:
Uptown Punk
For this season, we’re leaving behind the sloppy grunge style and opting for a rebellious yet refined punk style. To achieve this look, you can use elegant tailoring with leather details, studs, or metal hardware. Some pieces that would look great are sleek leather skirts, leather jackets, and over-the-knee boots. You can also add statement jewelry (chains, earrings, or necklaces) for a chic rather than chaotic look.
Unexpected Color Combinations
People with a Dramatic essence shine with bold, high-contrast choices, so this trend is perfect: with daring combinations like cobalt blue with crimson, emerald with mustard, or black with lime green accents. Use clean silhouettes as your canvas, like a tailored dress or a structured suit, and let the colors speak for you.

Volume
Oversized and exaggerated proportions perfectly suit you! You can play with puffed sleeves, structured shoulders, and wide-legged pants or skirts. The key is to maintain defined and intentional lines so that the volume feels imposing rather than overwhelming. For example, if you decide to wear a very voluminous skirt, opt for a blouse or coat with more balanced proportions.
Draped Coats and Capes
This is one of my favorite trends this fall! Especially if you have a Dramatic + Angelic or Dramatic + Natural blend, these coats look great! But what’s new? These coats have cape-inspired silhouettes. Whether made of wool or some other warm fabric, in dark or jewel tones, this is a piece that always looks striking.
Power Suit
Is there a more dramatic staple? Power suits are characterized by bold shoulders and monochromatic palettes. Experiment with bold pinstripes, metallic finishes, or tuxedo-inspired cuts. Pair them with elegant heels or pointed-toe boots for an even more striking look. As an extra, you can wear one (or several) wide belts, for a more modern touch.
Leopard Print
Animal prints are practically ideal for adding a touch of drama! And this year, leopard prints in particular are perfect for structured pieces, such as a pencil skirt, a blazer, or a fitted dress.

Natural Essence
Now let’s move on to the natural essence, which aims to make you look relaxed and feel at home, without losing that chic touch. Your strength lies in looking effortless, never over the top, so these trends integrate perfectly into your wardrobe!
Wanderer Spirit
Earthy tones, layered fabrics, and pieces that look ready for an adventure, yet chic enough for the city. This trend is all about layering flowing skirts, oversized scarves, textured knits, and warm boots. Maintaining a relaxed, bohemian vibe and mixing natural fabrics like wool, suede, or raw-edged denim
Western Style
The Western influence was heavily represented on this season’s runways and pairs perfectly with your style. Cowboy boots, shirts, suede jackets, and interesting belts will look great paired with modern staples, like straight-leg jeans with a suede jacket or a flowing midi skirt with boots. This way, you can avoid a look that’s too literal and give it a fresher twist.

Fringes
Closely related to the Western trend, don’t you think? If you have a fringed piece lingering in your closet, it’s time to bring it out. Fringes are playful and add movement and texture to your look. You can wear them on a jacket, a bag, or even boots; they look natural and give that free-spirited air. For your essence, opt for natural fabrics like suede, leather, or denim.
cape Coats
This is one of the trends that perfectly matches your style. Coats with a less defined structure are ideal for you: no rigid cuts or highly polished details. Instead, I recommend opting for oversized silhouettes that feel cozy yet chic. Cinch them with a belt if you’re looking for more definition, but let the relaxed silhouette take center stage.
Gamine Essence
If natural is comfort, gamine is energy. This fall, many trends are inspired by your youthful and playful side, so you have a great opportunity to combine prints, experiment with proportions, and add a playful touch to your fall staples.
Playful Modern Preppy
This season, Pinterest boards are full of “light academia.” It’s that collegiate style with a modern twist: pleated skirts, knitwear, crisp shirts, and tailored blazers with a shorter cut. And this aesthetic suits gamines perfectly! Add quirky socks, loafers, or a fun bag for a playful touch. Your preppy style should scream FUN, and not be too serious.
Color Combinations
Just as the Dramatic Essence, you shine with bold color combinations, but in a more playful way. Mix bright hues, unexpected accents, or even color-blocked knitwear. Imagine a look with contrasting accessories (like bright tights with a neutral outfit). You don’t have to stick to the earthy autumn shades to create whimsical outfits.

Capri Pants
Tailored but cropped: perfect for showing off your gamine energy. Pair them with loafers, ankle boots, or sneakers, and style them with fitted tops or cropped jackets. Especially for this season, when it’s not so cold yet, these pants adapt very well.
Belts
Unlike how someone with a Dramatic essence would style them, for you, belts are more about play than power. Skinny belts, double belts, or unique buckles will look 10 out of 10. Use them to break up proportions or add a playful touch to oversized dresses, skirts, or sweaters.
Classic Essence
Classic Modern Preppy
As we’ve already mentioned, this trend has a “light academia” inspiration, but for your essence, the cuts are impeccable, with fine-knit sweaters, button-down shirts, and pleated skirts. And what about your hair? It’s also an important part, whether it’s styled in ponytails or subtle waves.
Capri Pants
This trend seems tailor-made for you! Elegant fitted capris, paired with loafers or delicate heels, add that touch of sophistication that defines you. Pair them with a fitted blouse or a cropped jacket. I guarantee you’ll love the combination.

The Pencil Skirt
The pencil skirt is a classic! And this season it’s back in chic fabrics and colors. Whether in neutrals or a plaid print, it will enhance the balance and symmetry that flatter your style. Pair it with a structured blouse, a tucked-in knit sweater, or a blazer. And don’t limit yourself in your choice of fabrics; crisp wools, knits, you have so many options.
School Shoes with an Elegant Touch
Loafers and oxfords (which have been silhouettes that remind us a bit of school style) add a sober and refined touch to your wardrobe. Unlike a Gamine, you can wear something more elegant like polished leather, minimalist buckles, or subtle details.
Ingenue Essence
Volume in Peplum Silhouettes
Ruffles
Ruffles are the Ingenue’s dream. Soft cascading ruffles on blouses, skirts, or dresses add that delicate, feminine movement that enhances your youthful grace. Opt for lightweight fabrics (chiffon, organza, or cotton) to avoid overwhelming your figure.

Crochet Details
This is a trend shared by both ingenue and angelic essences. Handmade crochet details are super cute for creating cottagecore-style fall looks. Look for cardigans, tops, or accessories like scarves and headbands with delicate crochet patterns. Pastel or muted tones work especially well!
Bloomers
This piece really surprised me, and it has all those vintage vibes that suit your style so well. Bloomers (or bloomer-inspired shorts/pants) are original and sweet. Paired with delicate tops, they’ll look like something out of a fairy tale. This is a rare and unique piece, so even if your outfit is delicate and soft, I assure you it won’t go unnoticed.
Romantic Essence
Lace Details
This fall, you can try lingerie-style garments. And I don’t mean bare or overly revealing, but rather delicate, detailed, and luxurious. For example, maxi slip dresses, lace blouses, or camisole tops are perfect for you. The delicacy of lace and silky fabrics totally enhances your personality. Combine them with fitted layers or soft knits to achieve the perfect balance and keep you comfortable on the coldest days.
Romantic Ruffles
Just like for Ingenue girls, we Romantics love ruffles, as they add movement, softness, and undeniable femininity. Whether on blouses, skirts, or dresses, choose flowing, rounded ruffles thoughtfully placed to enhance your curves. Of course, fabrics like satin or delicate knits will give you that more mature touch compared to the Ingenue essence.

Fur Coats
Whether it’s faux fur or that coat that’s been in your family for generations and still looks spectacular, these types of coats are the definition of glamour. And if the coat feels too much for you, you can opt for collars or even accessories like stoles and bags that similarly enhance the richness and drama of your style.
A more classic (but equally feminine) touch: the Pencil Skirt.
The pencil skirt flatters your curves and always looks super sophisticated. Pair it with lace blouses, peplum tops, or soft knits for a classic yet deeply romantic look. This is a staple piece that works year-round, so if this is your style, you won’t regret adding it to your wardrobe.
Angelic Essence
Remember the wanderer style we talked about for the natural essence? Now we’ll look at it from Angelic’s more delicate perspective. You can adapt this bohemian style through flowing silhouettes and layered coats with a mysterious traveler’s air. You can also wear soft shawls, draped skirts, flowing dresses, and scarves that create movement. Fabrics like chiffon, silk, or soft knits will enhance the entire atmosphere of your look.
Lace Garments
This trend can also be adapted to a more ethereal perspective, using lighter, sheer fabrics in muted or mystical tones, perhaps not as deep as those of the Romantic essence.

Cape Coats
If you’ve been wondering what type of coats work for someone with an Angelic essence, without overwhelming their silhouettes, this is a good option. A draped or cape coat is ideal in fabrics with movement, with soft folds or unstructured lines.
Ruffles and Crochet
To complement your looks to the fullest, ruffles are ideal, as they are ethereal and airy, especially in layered fabrics like chiffon, silk, or organza. Opt for vertical or diagonal placements that create dynamic lines instead of looks with a lot of volume. And as a bonus, delicate crochet details have a mystical and artisanal aura that will look magical in the fall season!
At the end of the day, Fall 2025 is about embracing a vintage-inspired aesthetic that goes beyond fashion. I think this may be part of a new wave of curating pieces that feel personal, tell a story, and allow you to be gentle on both your budget and the planet.
