The Angelic Essence is unique, ethereal and feminine but when it’s blended with other essences it has so much more depth and originality. We have been noticing that it creates very different styles when combined. Therefore, we believe there are 6 Angelic Essence Archetypes. Would you like to find yours?
These archetypes were created based on the Kitchener essences but complemented with what we think and we’ve seen looks better on the different blends of essences.
Disclaimer: this is simply our opinion, Kitchener doesn’t talk about these. He does mention that you need to specifically have a low contrast in your features to be Angelic, if you have contrast you can’t have this essence. We don’t agree, it is possible to have Angelic essence and have contrast. The colors on your facial features do not matter but it does matter for what archetype of Angelic you are.
We wanted to share with you these different styles so you can have them as inspiration and then you blend them with your other essences.

Angelic + Ingenue – The Fairy or The Angel
Soft, innocent, and light.
The Angelic essence blend with Ingenue is the Fairy or Angel archetype.
Your facial features have low contrast, therefore low contrast in your garments would look harmonious with you. You might want to look for light or pastel colors, fabrics that are see through, chiffon and lace fabrics would be beautiful.
Small prints and cute details will go perfectly with you.
The blend of these two essences can take inspiration one from the fairycore aesthetic or two from the ethereal aura of an angel.
Imagine you are a fairy happily floating through the land full of curiosity on what is all around you and love for the smallest details, or maybe imagine you feel like an angel celestially flying through the clouds, free and ready for anything that comes.
Angelic + Romantic – The Mermaid
Flowy, sensual, and pearlescent.
The Angelic with Romantic essence blend is the Mermaid archetype.
Your facial features have medium contrast, and are mostly rounded or soft. You could wear outfits that have some contrast in the colors and that have soft and rushed details. You might want to look for deep colors, like brown, rusty orange, sea green, or black. Fabrics that have some shine and luxurious feel, but are soft and flowy (create an effect of fluidity in motion). Iridescent finishes and pearls are great!
The blend of these two essences can take inspiration from the mermaidcore aesthetic
Long wavy mermaid hair and dewy skin will look great on you.
Imagine you are a mermaid swimming through the sea finding vintage treasures or you’re enjoying and gracing yourself on the sea’s surface full of confidence.
Angelic + Classic – The Goddess
Clean, light, and divine.
The Angelic with Classic essence blend is the Goddess archetype.
Your facial features have medium contrast, and are mostly moderate with some elongation. You could wear outfits that are balanced and light. You might want to look for neutral to light colors, marble, cream, beige, white, sand, or blue. Fabrics that have some some softness but not too soft. They feel of high quality but can be draped. An overall clean appearance but with some feminine touches.
The blend of these two essences can take inspiration from the Neoclassical sculptures on museums.
Imagine you are a graceful Greek Goddesses, ruling the world and gracing everyone with your presence.
Angelic + Gamine – The Elf or The Alien
Soft, playful and airy, or futuristic and otherworldly.
If you have Angelic and Gamine essences the Elf or Alien might be your archetype.
Your facial features have high contrast, and are mostly soft but with some sharpness to it. Therefore, you could wear outfits that have contrast in them, it could be on the colors or on the mix of textures and patterns.
The blend of these two essences can take inspiration from an “Elf/Goblin” or an “Alien”.
If you prefer the Elf archetype you might want to look for fun colors, like yellow, orange, or forest green. Nature inspired prints with some transparency. If you prefer the Alien archetype you could opt for purple, white, silver, or blue colors. Fabrics that are shiny or metallic, prints, textures, and details that make the outfit feel futuristic or that come from an outer world.
Imagine you are an elf running through the deep forest playing and taking in the nature.
On the other hand, imagine you’re a creature coming from another planet, where everything is more modern.
Angelic + Natural – The Viking
Flowy, earthy, and strong.
If you have Angelic and Natural essences the Viking might be your archetype.
Your facial features have low contrast, and are mostly soft with some broadness. Therefore, you look best in garments that have low contrast in the colors but it’s full of textures inspired by nature. You might want to look for earthy soft colors, like green, dusty brown, cream, grey, or gold. Fabrics that have some a rough finish, and have that raw or organic feel. Soft leather and furry details.
The blend of these two essences can take inspiration from the Vikings style.
Braids or long and natural hair look great.
Imagine you are a strong viking living in your village around the mountains, getting ready to ride your horse or simply enjoying your time in front of the bonfire.
Angelic + Dramatic – The Witch
Unique, mysterious, and dark
If you have Angelic and Dramatic essences the Witch might be your archetype.
Your facial features have high contrast, and are mostly elongated with some sharpness. Therefore, you look best in garments that have high contrast in the colors or is on the darker side, and that are long. You might want to look for deep colors, like black, violet emerald green, grey, with gold or silver touches. Fabrics that have a soft finish, are airy and flowy. Like velvet, chiffon, and soft cotton.
The blend of these two essences can take inspiration from the witchcore style.
Imagine you are a powerful witch living in your small cottage, full of magic, herbs and plants, and gems.
As you can see each blend feels like the main character of their own fantasy story.

Remember that these are just inspirations, you don’t have to take it very literal and include all elements in your wardrobe but it could inspire you to connect with your essences a little more and to make it more fun to get dressed every day 🙂

I think the classic and ethereal could also have goddess in the for of a goddess with a royal vibe not a Greek one although beautiful but like a powerful one who is more like a queen with beautiful royal ornaments and perhaps mermaid dresses would be perfect since they have classic structure but flowy at the bottom or dress which have a straight figure with a sinched waist but with flowy material, mermaid could take on more of a siren vib to be heavy on that seductive nature, viking could be boho to be more nature like, and witch could be vampire to be more dangerous…I feel like these etherealls,specifically were shown in their more ethereal forms so if they were more balanced or heavy on their other
Absolutely spot on and so helpful of you to parse out the different blends and show how they manifest for those of us with Angelic. I very much identify with the Classic-Angelic blend so found this very inspiring. It would be very helpful to see some more ‘real-life’ suggestions for how to ‘Goddess’ outfits on a blustery autumn day, or for a busy Mom-life. Thank you!!!

This is spot on! I believe I’m Ethereal with both Classic & Romantic & I literally look best when I either look like a mermaid or goddess. In fact those are often said to me! I’d say I lean a tad more Goddess but having these archetypes has helped a ton with my style.
I have angelic+ingenue but with high contrast. I wonder if that will work…

It could work, I think it could be like fairycore but slightly darker, instead of light colors you could opt for deeper shades.
Maybe something like dark fairycore 🙂
