It’s a journey, sometimes we don’t even know where to begin. Also, let’s not forget our essences can also change our Kibbe lines, and trying to blend it all together can be overwhelming. So, you’re probably wondering…
where is the right place to start? Basics –Simple as that-
There are 9 key items that will help you start building a wardrobe that actually works for you as a Soft Classic. These clothing pieces will look good on you, no matter what your essences are. In fact, depending on the color and fabric, you can apply your essences to them.
We went through each of the Soft Classic recommended garments and we chose the ones we believe every Soft Classic should have in their wardrobe. Items that won’t go with trends, but will stay here to be timeless. This way, you don’t have to try and discard and you can go straight to what works, so we’ve got you.
So, here’s the shopping list for the Soft classics:

1. Long Sleeve T-shirt
Elegant, symmetrical tops made of lightweight fabrics are one of your essential pieces. The round necklines are also flatter you.
It is important that it is not too fitted or too loose. Unless you have Natural essence, oversized t-shirts won’t work. However, if you have Romantic or Gamine essence, tight or fitted t-shirts might work.

2. Puffy Sleeve Top
Yes, you are looking for something puffy but subtle, a few small pleats on the shoulders or sleeves are enough. These type of blouses that fit around the wrists work perfectly for you, making you look balanced but with that extra Yin that you need.

3. Square Neckline Top
This symmetrical square neckline is extremely elegant and can be used in many types of events, depending on the bottom you combine it with.
Depending on your essences, you might want the boarders of the square neck to be rounder or sharper. If you have Dramatic or Gamine, you can go for sharper lines. However, if you have a softer essences like Romantic, Ingenue, or Angelic, we recommend softer edges to the neckline.

4. Boot-cut pants or wide leg
Pants must end above the ankle and high rise is preferred.
Whether it is a boot cut or a wide leg, it should be subtle but noticeable.

5. Straight leg Jeans
These pants should preferably be above your ankle and have a high rise. High-waisted bottoms will help keep the balance in your silhouette.

6. Pleated Short
Shorts with a high rise up to the waist made of a fresh fabric like linen are a very useful and cute option for the summer. Remember to always leave room for movement on your hip and leg area. Soft Classics are all about elegance.

7. Midi skirt Skirt that is fitted at the hips and loose down
Just like with pants, look for your skirt to reach above the ankle. Midi skirts are a Soft Classic best friend. They can be shorter if you have Gamine or Ingenue essence and they can be longer if you have Angelic or Natural essence.
The fit at the hips is important, the rest of the skirt can be loose.
Light and moving fabrics are the most recommended for Soft Classic skirts; you can choose them plain or with small prints.

To choose your dress, look for pieces with definition at the waist and short to midi-length.
Opt for soft, A-line wrap dresses with light fabric and some flare in the skirt with a very feminine touch. The sleeves can be smooth or moderately puffed.

Your sweater should be short, as we seek to define your waist.
